I am in love....

....with Stanford Mens Basketball....

I've been following Stanford bball for 4 years now, and every year I think "it can't possibly get any better"...  This season has surpassed all expectations and has the potential to be the greatest of all time!  I am constantly amazed at how we manage to keep winning w/o having a "star player" (although Josh Childress is starting to fill the "star" roll quite nicely).  Twice a week, this team brightens my life.

25-0!!!

Congrats to Nick and Meagan Robinson on the birth of their baby daugher.  (on a selfish note -- i hope the newborn doesn't interfere with bball!)

As most of you know, I am a creature of habit.  I like to know that my life is routine and stable (my fiance, my friends and family, my job, my volleyball teams, and Stanford Men's Basketball).  I think I take for granted that I actually have these great things in my life.  It always takes one shake-up in the routine make you remember how great the rest of your life really is.

Last Thursday, I had one of those "life changing moments"....I was laid off.  This one incident turned my perfect world totally upside down.  But it's at these moments when you start to appreciate the other constants in your life...for me, that means my fiance, my family and friends, my volleyball teammates, and Stanford Mens Basketball.  Thank you so much jenpea for being there for me at the moment I found out the bad news and for ranting and raving along with me (I really needed that :) ).  Thank you Arnold for holding me when the tears wouldn't stop and for being my rock.  Thank you catsmiao, purplejong, poppyanne, chousan, garett, roselleicous, volleyball teammates, and the rest of my friends for your concern and support.  Thank you, family, for helping me see that this isn't the end of the world and that I have so many options.  Thank you Stanford Mens Basketball for winning in such a spectacular fashion and going 20-0...really helped me forget, at least for a few hours, the crap in my life.

Congrats to garett and roselleicious on their promotions and the exciting times they're about to experience!

I had the worst morning ever...  I woke up late 'cause I was super-tired, then Arnold says that his throat hurts and that he thinks he's coming down with a cold.  Then as we go downstairs, we see and smell diarrhea in the stairwell.  Apparently KK, our dog, had stomach problems some time during the night.  And, to top it off, he peed too!  GREAT!  What a way to wake up....  Arnold and I spent a good 45 minutes cleaning everything up.  Good thing we have this stuff called "Nature's Miracle."  The stuff works wonders!  It's a product that specifically cleans up vomit and diarrhea while eliminating odors at the same time!  It's basically these flakes that absorbs the sh*t and clumps it up so that it's easy to dispose.  Then, when the mess is gone, you use the liquid stain/odor remover and VOILA!  The crap is gone!  We also used "Resolve" carpet cleaner just to make sure the carpet was clean.

Having a dog is harder than having a baby...at least a baby wears a diaper!

I hope I didn't gross anyone out :)
